Increase your revenue with children’s activity packsBy Gary Swift
Last week, a customer of ours was telling me his dilemma, “We love having families in our restaurant, but sometimes the kids can disturb other customers. You know how some people don’t have much patience. So we thought a children’s activity pack might be a good idea. It took our receptionist 3 weeks to get the children’s activity pack together. And by the time we put the children’s activity pack together, it cost us $5 a piece and we just can’t justify giving away $5 to every child!”
This is where Busy Nippers children’s activity packs come in. These ready-packed children’s activity packs cost around $1 per activity pack. This is a small price to pay to keep your younger patrons entertained for around an hour! Most businesses can afford Busy Nippers children’s activity packs.
So how do children’s activity packs increase revenue? Children’s activity packs can increase revenue in two ways; firstly by keeping your family customers in your business for longer so they can relax and spend more and secondly you can actually add the cost into your existing product price or even charge a small fee for them.
Adjusting your pricing to accommodate children’s activity packs
You can add the cost of the children’s activity packs in to the price of a product. For example if your business is a restaurant and you charge $7.50 for a children’s meal, simply make the price of your children’s meal $9 or even $9.95 and include the children’s activity pack. Your customers will be willing to pay more for the meal because of the perceived value of the gift, ie., the children’s activity pack. Multiply that little extra charge for the children’s activity packs by the number of children’s meals you sell in a month and it can really add up.
Charging a small fee for the children’s activity packs
The second option to increase revenue from children’s activity packs is to sell the children’s activity pack as a stand alone item. You might charge $2 or $2.95 for example. There is no set RRP. It is up to you and depends on what you think your clientele will comfortably pay for a children’s activity pack.
